using punctuation to show frustration

posted Jan 20, 2011 16:33:15 by ghostwriter500
I think Burns put a period at the end of every line to show frustration or anger. Like when I am mad at someone when I'm texting I usually always put a period at the end of the text. It just shows like "the end". All throughout this poem I just sense anger. Like she can't get the person she's talking to to understand her nationality. And then finally when the person does understand they start asking her dumb questions like where they can get a cheap Navajo rug. I would be frustrated too if I were her.
